CALLING ALL HEALTHCARE WORKERS!! We want YOU to come join us in DC for our next day of legislative advocacy! Over the past two years, we have made incredible progress – let’s keep up the momentum!!
OnCall4Kids has now participated in hundreds of meetings with lawmakers and other offices of the executive branch. We have also had nearly 100 participants at each of our fly-ins, and we have and represented over 35 states in meetings. On Tuesday, April 8th, OnCall4Kids is headed back to DC to meet with the new Congress during the first 100 days of the new administration. We hope to be joined by all types of healthcare workers to address gun violence as a non-partisan public health crisis . It remains the number one cause of death of children in America. We are ready to represent all 50 states, so please join us and pass on our RSVP to other colleagues across the country!
We will again be lobbying for three bills that could save lives:
* Assault Weapons Ban/GOSAFE Act
* Background Check Expansion Act (Universal Background Checks)
* Ethan’s Law (Secure Storage)
For those that join us, we will host very informative info sessions and lobby training to ensure that everyone is prepared. If you can’t attend, please send the link to any friends/co-workers who may be interested in this cause! If you want to help sponsor a healthcare worker to attend in your place, please consider donating on our website – www.oncall4kids.org.
