In this webinar, the four pillars of WIC (the prescriptive food packages, breastfeeding support, nutrition education, and referrals to health and social services), the national advertising and outreach campaign, the benefits of participating in WIC, and tools and resources NWA has available for health care providers to help identify potentially eligible WIC participants and make referrals will be discussed. Session attendees will leave with a greater understanding of what WIC offers, how WIC can be integrated into patient care, and how to refer to WIC. They will have solid action items to take back to their home practices.
