DESCRIPTION:Children’s Hospiral Colorado Presents:\nPediatric Education Day\nWilkinson Public Library\n100 West Pacific Avenue\nTelluride\, CO 81435-2189 \nThursday\, May 9\, 2024 | 12:00pm – 4:00pm \nTo register click HERE \nThis activity is for interdisciplinary healthcare team members caring for pediatric patients in an emergency and pre-hospital setting. We will provide clinical updates and address current topics relevant to the care for sick and injured pediatric patients. \nThis event will be an in person only event in Telluride Colorado with no virtual attendance option. \nObjectives \n\nDescribe process to assess level of illness in pediatric patients.\nDiscuss a plan to develop a safe and rational approach to provide pediatric sedation and pain control.\nDiscuss pediatric neurologic assessment and management of a patient with traumatic brain injury.\nDemonstrate key pediatric clinical care skills including suctioning\, airway management\, IV access and rapid fluid administration\, and pediatric resuscitation.\n\nAvailable credit: \n3.75 CME | NCPD | EMS
