Oxford\n2nd Floor Conference Center\nChildren’s Hospital Colorado \nThis lectureship is in honor of Stephen Berman\, MD\, a leader and giant in child advocacy and general pediatrics over four decades. He inspired us to lead not only as clinicians but as champions for change and improvements in child health nationally and internationally. \nHe was a past president of the American Academy of Pediatrics from 2001–2. He was professor of pediatrics and served as head of the Section of General Academic Pediatrics as well as the director of the Center for Global Health at the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. \nBerman passed away in 2023. Bonnie Camp\, MD\, PhD\, began the process of establishing the lectureship along with Steve’s wife Elaine\, and Doug Jones\, MD\, to honor his career and impact on a generation of learners. \nThe Stephen Berman Lectureship and Visiting Professorship at the University of Colorado was endowed by the Berman Family and Dr. Bonnie Camp to follow Dr. Berman’s lead in promoting child advocacy for all children. \nSpeaker: \nPaul Wise\, MD\, MPH\, will be the guest speaker for the inaugural 2024 Stephen Berman\, MD Lectureship and Visiting Professorship sponsored by the Departments of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
