Dr. Kraft received her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech and her M.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently in the MBA program at the Lindner School of Business at the University of Cincinnati. \nPrior to her arrival in Cincinnati\, Dr. Kraft was a primary care pediatrician in private practice in Richmond\, Virginia\, and the Founding Pediatric Program Director at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Dr. Kraft was President of the Virginia Chapter of the AAP from 2006-2008\, and was best known for working with the Legislature to improve Medicaid payment rates for pediatric services. In 2010\, Dr. Kraft was appointed to the AAP’s Early Brain and Child Development Leadership Group\, a strategic oversight body for the Academy’s activities related to early brain and childhood development. Dr. Kraft is the co-author of the book Managing Chronic Health Conditions in Child Care and Schools. She has been actively involved in pediatric engagement in school and child care for children with special health care needs.   \n  \nAnn M. Logan \nDenver Health Foundation honors Ann M. Logan for her work with the Reach Out and Read program at Denver Health and for her commitment to education and literacy for Colorado’s youngest children.  Ann became involved with the Reach Out and Read (ROR) pediatric early literacy program soon after its inception in Colorado in 1997.  Having worked for years as an outreach librarian for the Denver Public Library\, she immediately recognized ROR’s potential to encourage early literacy development and a love of books\, especially in the homes of disadvantaged families.  In a volunteer capacity Ann coordinated the ROR program at eight Denver Health community health centers until 2006\, providing invaluable support and training to medical staff and volunteer readers.  In 2004\, she and Dr. Steve Vogler\, Denver Health Westside Family Health Center pediatrician\, led the effort to create a statewide ROR coalition\, which currently supports the activities of 265 ROR health care sites\, serving over 93\,000 children throughout Colorado.  Ms. Logan is a past board chair of ROR Colorado and also serves on the boards of directors of Reach Out and Read National Center\, Clayton Early Learning and Denver School of the Arts Friends Foundation. \nRSVP required by March 27. \nAs seating is limited\, if you find that your plans change please contact us to cancel your reservations.   \n
