DESCRIPTION:Despite its longevity as a foundational element of Medicaid\, EPSDT’s full breadth and depth is often misunderstood. This webinar will identify EPSDT’s history and structure\, discuss the role of the federal government and states in the provision of the benefit\, and provide examples of services guaranteed to children in Medicaid. Our goal is to ensure that providers and advocates are armed with a comprehensive understanding of EPSDT in order to assess ways to ensure that children in Medicaid receive the full scope of EPSDT benefits they need to succeed in school and in life. \nThe American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. \nThe AAP designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. \n
