OMA is partnering with the American Academy of Pediatrics: Colorado Chapter and the Children’s Hospital Colorado to offer a half day virtual course on March 13, 2021 to improve clinicians’ abilities to effectively manage the chronic disease in pediatric populations.

The Foundations of Pediatric Obesity course will include education on the pathophysiology of obesity and genetic testing for obesity syndromes. Sessions will discuss case-based examples to apply the American Academy of Pediatric guidelines to the treatment of a pediatric patient with obesity, and will explain the referral process to tertiary care center.
