Objectives:

• Describe the epidemiology of congenital syphilis in the US and CO
• Identify key factors that may lead to congenital syphilis
• Review the various diagnostic tests recommended for syphilis evaluation including interpretation
• Discuss the Red Book algorithm on diagnosis and treatment of congenital syphilis
