Objectives:
- Review the programs available to teach the initial steps of neonatal resuscitation and stabilization.
- Identify common conditions associated with newborn infants requiring transfer to a higher level of care.
- Describe the interventions and supplies to maintain stabilization of the newborn while awaiting transport to a higher level of care.
