Objectives:

  • Describe how toxicology screening and testing is commonly conducted in the perinatal period and risks of bias in this process. •
  • Identify strategies to shift clinical practice and organizational policy to ensure equity in toxicology screening and testing during the perinatal period.
  • Discuss the successes and challenges of implementing new state guidelines within a hospital system.
